Dear Church Family,
By now you are probably aware that yesterday the local governments in Whitfield County adopted a joint resolution asking that all gatherings with over 10 in attendance be suspended through April 12 to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Because of clear Scriptural teaching such as Romans 13, we will continue to suspend our church activities at their request. We know that our God was not caught off guard by all of this, and He is working in these days. We sure look forward to that day soon when we can all worship together again!
It goes without saying that we miss the face-to-face encounters with each other. We are so grateful for the technology God has provided through your generous support. It allows us to gather together as God’s Word instructs us in Hebrews 10:24-25 in the best ways we can under these circumstances. We will continue to worship together through livestream on Facebook Live and the app and website. Connect Groups and Bible study groups stay in the Word and in touch through Zoom, emails, cards and phone calls. Committees and teams are still coordinating and planning for the days after this passes when we can again worship and minister side-by-side.
We realize that this means that Palm Sunday, April 5, and Easter, April 12, will be different for us and for people all over the United States this year. The staff, leaders, and teams here at Grove Level are working now to provide God-honoring, Christ-centered, believer-engaging services that will elevate God our Father and celebrate our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Please pray for us in these days as we plan, prepare and improve.
Look for another email at the end of this week to give you some more details. Until then, join us in praying for Almighty God to give deliverance and protection from this virus. Pray for those on the “front lines” of this battle and those who are struggling because of it. Please remember to pray for one another and reach out to others. In our New Testament 2020 passage this week we read, “Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.”
God loves you; I love you, too.
